About Reelt

About Reelt

Reelt is a personal-finance documentation tool: you upload your bank statements, and Reelt calculates your real disposable income from the transactions that actually happened, not a guess. Here's what Reelt is, how the calculation works, and who's behind it.

What Reelt is and what it isn't

Reelt is a documentation tool. You upload your bank statements (CSV, XLSX, OFX or PDF), and Reelt calculates your disposable income and lays it out in a report you can use with your bank, a landlord, or a caseworker. The calculation is based on the transactions that actually happened in your account, not a budget you guessed at.

  • Reelt calculates a number. We do not give you personal advice on what to do with your finances.
  • Reelt is not a legal advisor, and we do not carry out debt relief (gældssanering). That is a court process decided by the Danish probate court (skifteretten).
  • Reelt is not a debt counselling service or a collection agency. We do not collect debt, and we do not speak to your creditors on your behalf.

How the calculation works

Reelt extracts amounts, dates, and transaction text from your bank statements and splits them into deposits and fixed expenses. Disposable income is deposits minus fixed expenses, the same formula every time, with no guesswork along the way.

Reelt adds up inflows and subtracts fixed costs. It also shows spending and your monthly surplus or deficit. You can trace transactions, check categories and correct information before purchase. The finished report can be downloaded as PDF and Excel.

How we handle your data

Our database is hosted in the EU, we never sell your data, and you can delete it whenever you want, a single upload or your entire account.

Documents and information are processed automatically and may be sent to external processors. Processing depends on the file format and the features you use. The data page explains providers, storage, processing outside the EU/EEA and deletion options.
